About Whitehouse Optometrists

Whitehouse Optometrists has provided expert optical and eye health care for generations of families since 1927. Established in the City and at St Leonards, Whitehouse Optometrists can look after you and your family for all your visual needs.

Geoff Matthews, Jody Glasser and Mary Deligianni Optometrists provide the highest level of optometric care based on 80 years combined experience. All members of the Whitehouse team are highly experienced in their fields to assist you with a wide range of services from vision conditions to style advice! Each store location carries a wide range of spectacle frames, contact lenses, sunglasses and accessories.

Geoff Matthews

Optometrist

Geoff began at Whitehouse in 1975 as a student Optometrist. After taking over ownership he expanded the practice while continuing its tradition of excellent service. Geoff has knowledge of all aspects of general eye health and vision difficulties. He has a reputation for solving difficult refractive vision problems, and has gained the trust of Sydney’s leading Ophthalmologists. Geoff has expertise in low vision and complex contact lens cases. He uses the latest technology and optical materials, sourced globally, to best suit your needs.

Jody Glasser

Optometrist

Jody graduated from the University of NSW in 1980. After successfully running his own private practice on George Street, Sydney he was a partner at Whitehouse for 9 years. He has extensive experience in all areas of general optometry and his particular interests include low vision solutions, multi-focal contact lenses and servicing high and difficult prescriptions requiring prismatic correction.

Mary Deligianni

Optometrist

Mary is an optometrist with more than 24 years experience and has a passion for outstanding patient care. A core component of her clinical philosophy is customisation of care plans to tailor to individual patients, incorporating primary ocular health and visual needs, however complex. Mary has a keen interest in the effects of systemic disease on ocular health, children’s vision and technological advances in contact lenses.

Craig

Senior Optical Dispenser/Mechanic

At Whitehouse we have our own on-site Senior Optical Dispenser/Mechanic. This allows us to make emergency repairs to your glasses and, when needed, change lenses between frames. These services are rarely offered by Optometrists and Craig is a professional with 15 years experience dealing with difficult and delicate work with short deadlines. He also has 15 years experience at a lens factory which allows him to offer you the best advice on lens selection and technology when fitting lenses and frames.

Antony Matthews

Optical Dispenser

Eyewear is more than just a visual aid, it can highlight individual expression. Antony’s expertise in selecting and fitting frames helps you choose glasses that are comfortable, stylish and suit your vision requirements. You’ll find Antony at the St. Leonard’s practice where he uses his extensive background in retail to provide excellent customer service and satisfaction.

Lilli-Ann

Senior Optical Dispenser/Mechanic

Lilli-Ann brings 18+ years of experience as an Optical Dispenser/Mechanic with a pedigree in boutique optometry practices. She is fashion forward and passionate about giving the best lens design and technology to suit client needs. In her spare time she loves indulging in chocolate and keeps Cadbury in business.
